Cleanup your Active Directory with „CleanupMonster“
The title sounds a little bit 80-retro, but behind that topic its a module from the famous Przemyslaw Klys from evotec. It is about cleaning up Active Directory from orphaned computer objects based on various properties like LastLogonDate, LastPasswordDate and so forth. If you are into migrations and like to cleanup behind your work, give this a try!
AD expiry password e-mail notification
Old, but still and issue are expired password. Putting workload on the service desk, this can be managed ahead of expiry. Read Wolfgang Sommerguts post on a Powershell script for expiring passwords sent by E-Mail.
Get reminded by PowerShell with PSReminderLite
If you spend your time on the PowerShell prompt for hours or even days, this module may help you to manage your reminders and events. Its lighweight, uses a local database and is your little wizard for upcoming activities. Read Jeffrey Hicks blog on PSReminderLight.
Determine an effective password policy for AD users
Passwords are still (and maybe still some years) an issue in IT-environments, so managing them is required. Read another Wolfgang Sommergut in this edition of my blog on how to manage password policies with PowerShell.
Happy week – R.
